The ongoing investigation into the ₹252-crore mephedrone seizure case has taken a new turn as the Mumbai Police issued a summons to actor Siddhanth Kapoor. The development comes shortly after Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, failed to appear for questioning and requested additional time.
According to updates shared by PTI, Siddhanth Kapoor has been asked to appear before the authorities on November 25 to record his statement. His name reportedly emerged during the interrogation of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, the prime accused in the high-value drug case. The Anti-Narcotics Cell’s Ghatkopar unit had earlier found references to both Siddhanth and Orry while questioning Shaikh.
The investigation has revealed that Shaikh allegedly organised extravagant parties in Mumbai and Dubai, claimed to have been attended by several well-known personalities, including Nora Fatehi, filmmakers Abbas–Mustan, rapper Loka, Zeeshan Siddique, and siblings Shraddha and Siddhanth Kapoor. However, neither Shraddha Kapoor nor Siddhanth have made any public statements regarding these claims.
This case dates back to March 2024, when the police seized over 126 kg of mephedrone from a manufacturing unit on a Sangli farm. Valued at around ₹252 crore, the massive haul led to Shaikh’s arrest after he was deported from Dubai. While Orry sent his lawyer and sought time till November 25, he was recently spotted attending Travis Scott’s concert in Mumbai on November 19. The police are expected to continue their questioning once Siddhanth records his statement.
