The video of this bizarre incident at Ghatkopar; which is going around all over social media, shows that the car’s bonnet and front wheels entered the sinkhole first followed soon by the rest part of the car which wholly disappears under water within a minute.

Although the other vehicles parked around the car were not affected by the incident.

This video has appeared at the time when Mumbai along with the other coastal areas of Maharashtra are experiencing heavy monsoon rainfall.

An orange alert was issued for Saturday, a red alert for Sunday.
The India Meteorological Department had predicted yesterday of heavy rainfall for the city during the weekend.
The downpour over the past few days has also led to water-logging in many areas and caused the Powai lake to overflow.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has issued a “high alert” for all the agencies, due to the weather department’s rain forecast for the weekend. The Coast Guard, Navy and NDRF have been asked to remain on a standby.
In the said video, the person recording was found astonished by the car getting sunk.
