Myanmar military shuts down Twitter and Instagram to restrict protests

The military in Myanmar shut down Twitter and Instagram after shutting down Facebook to restrict protests across the country,
The people of Myanmar started protesting this week by banging pots and plastic bottle because of a coup conducted by the military, The coup resulted in the detention of Myanmar leader Aung Sang Suu Kyi.
Around 300 people in the National League for Democracy party i.e the ruling party in Myanmar has since declared themselves as the actual representatives of the people and have asked for recognition internationally as the governing party in the country.

The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that the UN will do everything it can to reverse the military coup in Myanmar. The coup also resulted in the detention of 134 lawmakers and officials along with 18 activists.
