Balaji Telefilms has unveiled the first glimpse of Ektaa Kapoor’s highly anticipated supernatural drama, Naagin 7. The promo, shared on the production house’s official Instagram page, opens with a fire-breathing dragon flying across the city before coming face-to-face with Naagin. The narration builds intrigue with the line, “In the Kumbh where devotion and faith converge, a new enemy challenges Naagin,” hinting at an epic clash between two powerful forces.
The makers captioned the post, “Kya hoga jab hoga Aag aur Zeher ka aamna-saamna? (fire emoji) (snake emoji) Bas bache hai kuch hi din… Naagin is coming soon! Watch it soon on Colors and JioCinema.” The line translates to, “What will happen when fire and venom come face to face? Only a few days left…” creating a buzz among loyal fans of the franchise.
However, the response has been far from unanimous. While a section of viewers praised the concept’s scale and innovation, others criticised the promo’s visual quality. Several social media users claimed the video looked AI-generated, with one comment reading, “No casting, only AI-generated,” and another saying, “Please improve the AI effects’ quality—it doesn’t match the show’s standard.”
Some even compared the visuals to Western fantasy series, jokingly asking, “Is this Naagin or Game of Thrones?” Despite the backlash, speculation is high about the cast, with fans hoping to see Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Namik Paul in lead roles.
