Natalie Portman and her husband, choreographer Benjamin Millepied, parted ways after 11 years of marriage. According to Us Weekly, the decision was made because of his alleged affair with Camille Etienne. Natalie was snapped without her wedding ring during a function in Australia on their 11th wedding anniversary (August 4).
According to Us Weekly, “After news of his affair came out, they’ve been trying to work on their marriage but are currently on the outs.” They have two children, Aleph (12) and Amalia (6). As per the report, rumours of Benjamin’s affair with climate activist Camille Etienne began in June.
An insider told Us Weekly in June that Natalie believed “Benjamin’s affair was a brief and stupid liaison that means nothing to him,” and that she was “willing to see if she’s capable of rebuilding her trust” in him to ensure that their children did not “grow up in a broken home.” According to another source, the couple was then ‘talking and working on it together for the sake of their children,’ and Benjamin regretted his actions.
Natalie and Benjamin met while filming Darren Aronofsky’s thriller Black Swan in 2009. Aside from Black Swan, Natalie and Benjamin have worked on a number of projects together, including the 2018 film Vox Lux, where his choreography assisted in the transformation of Natalie’s character as troubled pop star Celeste.
