SEBI booked NDTV promoters Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy for violating various security norms and slapped them with a penalty of Rs 25 crore and Rs 1 crore individually. The SEBI fined NDTV for burying information of loan agreement clauses that had an adversarial effect on shareholders. The investigation began after Quantum Securities Pvt Ltd complained about non-disclosure of loan agreements with VPCL and ICICI. The duo were recently billed for commiting tax frauds.
