Nepal announces seven day nationwide lockdown

Bhutan Prime Minister, Lotay Tshering has announced a nationwide lockdown for seven days starting from December 23. The decision is taken to control the spread of COVID-19 and prevent its transmission in communities. A bulletin released by the Ministry of Health of Himalayan Kingdom revealed total COVID-19 cases at 479 with 430 already recovered. Only designated shops and essential services are permitted to function while schools, offices and business establishments will remain closed.
