New Era high school’s Amaan Ram was acknowledged at the National Events after he surpassed three fatigue rounds in the “Young Scientist Programme” conducted in December 2021 and April 2021. The young lad created an extraordinary creation ‘VAVI’ (Virtual Assistant for Visually Impaired) for the differently-abled. The Spectacular innovation helped Amaan secure the first title worth INR 50000 after competing with thousands of other participants.
Amaan is offered to visit the BITS, Pilani post the COVID-19 pandemic. The young gun will be getting help from ‘Spacekids’ by funding his project. The innovative designed tech tool VAVI is a fully AI-equipped device/application which works on the principles of machine learning and AI to help the Visually Impaired. The device apart from its special features is an economical tool costing just 6000 rupees and with the involvement of Government organisations and NGOs, the price might be much more reduced and negotiated for the downtrodden people.
