Neymar’s performance:
The defending French champions suffered a 1-0 defeat in the second-leg Champions League quarter-final clash at the Parc des Princes. However, PSG punched their ticket to the semi-finals thanks to the 3-3 aggregate scoreline across the quarter-finals.
While Mauricio Pochettino’s men failed to win at home, Neymar produced a dazzling performance against last season’s Champions League winners. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting might have fired Bayern into the lead in the first half, but Neymar came very close to adding his name to the scoresheet.
Neymar's first half by numbers vs. Bayern:

Controversial celebration:
Neymar celebrated with teammate Leandro Paredes in front of an annoyed Kimmich as the referee whistled for full-time.
“It’s funny because I didn’t even celebrate to mess with him, it was more with Leo and I ended up celebrating with him. It was fate that put me close to [Kimmich],” Neymar told TNT Sports Brasil after the match. “He said that their team was better, that they would win. He was sure that they would go to the semifinals.”

Contract extension rumours:
Neymar said his contract renewal with Paris Saint-Germain is “no longer an issue” as the star pledged his future to the Ligue 1 giants following their Champions League progress.
“I don’t think this is even a topic anymore, I obviously feel very comfortable, at home at PSG,” Neymar told TNT Sports Brazil after the match at Parc des Princes stadium in Paris.
“I feel happier than before.”
Neymar is on the verge of signing a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2026, last details to be sorted soon – a ‘huge bonus’ will be included in the agreement if PSG will win the Champions League in the next years. 🇧🇷🇫🇷 #PSG
