Nisha Rawal breaks silence on Karan Mehra’s allegations, accepts she is bipolar

During media interaction, actress Nisha Rawal, who filed a police complaint against Karan Mehra talked about the actor’s claims that she is “bipolar, aggressive, abusive”.

After courting each other for over six years, Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal tied the knot in November 2012. The two were praised as ideal couples of the television industry and are parents to a four-year-old son. While many believed that all is well between the two, on June 1, news about Karan getting arrested smashed the internet. It was reported that Nisha filed a complaint against Karan and alleged that he hit her head against the wall.

Soon, several reports and allegations started to make rounds on the web, and Karan, after getting bailed, did an interview with a media portal and claimed that his wife Nisha is “bipolar, aggressive, abusive”. After the interviews, photos of Nisha with wounds on her head appeared online and the actress also confirmed that she is going to interact with the media.

During the press conference, when Nisha was asked about Karan’s assertions of her being “bipolar, aggressive and abusive”, she accepted them. She said, “Bipolar is a mood disorder which happens due to extreme trauma and it’s genetic sometimes. I was diagnosed with bipolarity and I am not going to lie about it as I am not ashamed about it. But I am not a psycho, it is a mood disorder. And you all know how balanced I am. I create content for the web, I make videos and write about things. I don’t have to prove anything.”

Nisha further professed that it all happened when she had a miscarriage in 2014 and Karan was not there to support or solace her. The actress also stated that after miscarriage, her husband was “beating her up, abusing her, he was unavailable, totally detached and that’s when she went to a therapist.”

Nisha alleged that Karan is very “controlling” and didn’t even permit her to go to the gym and was also against her going to the therapist. However, the actress went to the therapist and was detected with a “depressive phase of bipolarity.”
