 
									Nitish Kumar from Janata Dal has been elected as the Bihar Chief Minister for the fourth consecutive term, after he was elected as the leader of NDA (National Democratic Alliance), comprising of BJP 74 seats and JD(U) 43 seats, a steep drop from 71 in 2015. The oath taking ceremony was attended by many senior leaders, including Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress who skipped the swearing. Reason mentioned, “mandate for change was against NDA”.
