Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was pictured lying across a couch as Takeoff grinned and cuddled his legs in the collection, along with several images of the two touring with their former rap duo Migos.
Member of the group Quavo also paid respects, posting three times to Instagram with the hashtag #RocketPower in memory of his deceased nephew. When Quavo was slain on November 1, 2022, outside a bowling alley in downtown Houston, Takeoff was by his side. A grand jury in Texas indicted the shooting suspect, Patrick Xavier Clark, on a charge of murder in May.

Offset has acknowledged that discussing Takeoff’s death is “hard for me to talk about,” but the “Ric Flair Drip” rapper has paid tribute to the murdered artist numerous times since then, including by switching his Instagram profile picture to a photograph of the rapper with a tiny white heart.
Offset wrote a heartfelt letter to Takeoff in November of last year, which he uploaded in place of a statement. I wish I could hug you one last time,” the rapper added, expressing his shock and sadness. One last chuckle. Smoke one last cigarette. One more performance is needed. “Until we meet again, Rest In Power,” he wrote at the letter’s conclusion. I cherish you.
