Ola electric scooter to be launched soon

Hinting at an imminent launch, a tweet asking the followers about what colour option would they like to see on the upcoming Ola electric scooter was put up by Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Group CEO of Ola. In the upcoming weeks, the prices of the scooter are most likely to be announced. Including features like a removable lithium-ion battery, digital instrument console, cloud connectivity, alloy wheels, telescopic suspension upfront, the Ola electric scooter is likely to have a range of around 100 to 150 km, based on the Energy Appscooter.

In the next upcoming few months, the first phase of operation at the plant would be commenced as announced by the manufacturer along with the Ola factory being built with an investment of around ₹2400 crore. Going up to 10,000 after being fully operational, the facility shall be able to generate employment for about 2000 people during its initial phase. To construct the facility, over 10 million man-hours have been planned.

Having an installed capacity of around 10 million electric scooters per annum the fully operational plant shall meet the industry standards 4.0 and in Phase 1 shall stand at two million units per year. Rolling out 25,000 batteries per day along with a scooter every two seconds, the facility will have over 10 General Assembly lines that will be able to do so.

Apart from being sold in the Indian market, Europe, Latin America, UK, Asia Pacific, Australia, and New Zealand are the places where they made in India scooters shall be exported.
