Oppenheimer starrer Cillian Murphy speaks on playing Ken in future Barbie sequel

The world has been taken over by Barbenheimer. People are swarming the theatres in search of the cinematic experience of a lifetime.

The star-studded casts in the Greta Gerwig and Christopher Nolan directed film are impressive. Our favourite character Ken is set to appear in the Barbie sequel, and Cillian Murphy, who currently plays Oppenheimer, has expressed interest in the part. When the films Barbie and Oppenheimer were released simultaneously and enjoyed phenomenal box office success, the term “Barbenheimer” became a global craze.

Oppenheimer outscored Barbie in the US but Barbie outperformed Oppenheimer in India. The Oppenheimer actor was recently questioned by Cinefilos if he would ever consider playing Ken in the Barbie movie. “Sure, yeah!” was Murphy’s response. The actor from Peaky Blinders expressed his enthusiasm for the Barbie movie as well. He told the interviewer he “can’t wait to see it.”

When about Barbenheimer and the friendly competition it has sparked, Murphy said, “I think it’s great for cinema to get all these great films happening this summer.”
