Opposition alliance INDIA names 20 MPs who are set to visit violence-struck Manipur

INDIA, the united alliance of the opposition parties, has released a list of 20 MPs, representing 16 parties, who are set to form a delegation and visit Manipur. The visit is aimed at assessing the situation on ground. Earlier, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited the affected areas and relief camps in the violence-hit state.

The list of the MLAs are as follow:

From Congress, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, Gaurav Gogoi, Phulo Devi Netam. From JDU, Lalan Singh and Anil Hedge. While Sushmita Dev will be representing All India Trinamool Congress Party (TMC), Kanimozhi will be representing Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). Santhosh Kumar and AA Rahim will be representing CPI and CPI (M) party, respectively.

Manoj Jha from RJD, Javed Ali Khan from SP, Mahua Maji from JMM, Mohd Faizal from NCP, Mohd Bashir from IUML, NK Premachandran from RSP, Sushil Gupta, Arvind Sawant from Shiv Sena (UBT). From RLD, Jayant Chowdhary.

The opposition leaders has been trying to visit the state for quite sometime but due to the volatile situation of the state, the permissions were denied. They have also been urging a discussion in both the houses of Parliament. The government has agreed to hold discussion for the same.
