The late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sea-facing apartment in Bandra, Mumbai is up for rent. The apartment is expected to attract new tenants as and when the coronavirus pandemic subsides.
The real estate firm handling the property also revealed the amount Sushant used to pay, per month, to live there.
The actor died on June 14 last year, it is alleged that he committed suicide. The mystery behind his death remains unsolved and is still being investigated by three different agencies namely, the Central Bureau of Investigation, with the Enforcement Directorate and the Narcotics Control Bureau probing the financial and the drugs-related angles in the case.
The sea-facing Bandra apartment is up for lease at Rs 4 lakh a month. The was reportedly paying Rs 4.5 lakh/ per month in December 2019. His deal was until December 2022. He was living there with roommates Siddharth Pithani, two houses help Neeraj and Keshav and his girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty.
The celebrity broker quoted to a leading daily, “The apartment has been put up for lease but has yet to get a tenant.” He added that owing to the pandemic, the property hasn’t received many inquiries, he also informed that the ones who have shown interest in the property have always enquired about Sushant.
He described the house and said, “It is a beautiful sea view apartment and is ideal for creative minds and a good home for those who migrate to Mumbai for work. Once the pandemic ends and the world opens up to India again, we’re expecting renewed interest from expats and the corporate world, too. This house attracts people who like vibrations and the scenic view.”
He said that the owners are not concerned about the property and are assured that the apartment will get rented considering the location. The broker shared that although some prospective tenants are “put off” by the fact that the house was earlier rented by Sushant. As reported by Times Now, the owners believe the case will not be “detrimental to the business prospects of the house in the near future.”
