P.R Sreejesh re-elected to the FIH athletes committee

Indian hockey goalkeeper, P.R Sreejesh was re-elected to the Athletes committee and it will be providing him with another opportunity to voice his fellow player’s views about the game before the world body. He was re-elected on Thursday in a virtual meeting of the executive board.

The former Indian skipper is one of the four new members appointed by the EB which will be meeting two days before the 47th FIH Congress which will also be held online. The committee consists of former and current players who make suggestions to the executive board about the development and initiatives required for the growth of hockey as a sport.

“Over the past four years, I have grown not only individually as a player but the opportunity with the FIH Athletes Committee provided me with a unique chance to understand, observe and express the views of my fellow hockey players”, Sreejesh said in an interview.

“I would like to congratulate Sreejesh on behalf of Hockey India and wish him all the very best for a second term at the FIH Athletes committee”, Hockey India president, Gyanendro Ningombam said.
