Palaash Muchhal, a music composer, was admitted to the hospital due to exhaustion and stress after his wedding to cricketer Smriti Mandhana was postponed. His team verified that Muchhal was released from the hospital one day later. Following his initial hospital stay in Sangli, he was transferred to SRV Hospital in Goregaon, Mumbai, where medical professionals determined on Wednesday that he was well enough to return home.
Palaash was admitted to the hospital soon after the wedding was postponed because of unanticipated medical issues in both families. Shrinivas Mandhana, Smriti’s father, was admitted to the hospital on the wedding day due to a suspected heart attack, hence the event was postponed. Palaash was admitted to the hospital that same day after becoming ill with acidity and a viral infection.
After learning of Smriti’s father’s illness, Palaash decided to postpone the wedding, according to sources from NDTV and Hindustan Times. Amita Muchchal, his mother, described the profound impact the news had on him. “Palaash ko uncle se bahut zyada attachment hai… Smriti se zyada yeh dono close hain,” she remarked.
“Jab unko ho gaya toh Smriti se pehle Palaash ne decision liya ke usko abhi phere nahi karne hain…jab tak uncle theek nahin ho jaate” (Palash is highly attached to uncle). Compared to Smriti, he is closest to him. Palash made the decision to postpone the wedding ceremonies till Uncle recovered after he became ill, even before Smriti.
Amita went on to say that Palaash sobbed after learning of Shrinivas Mandhana’s illness. She described the poignant occasion, saying, “We didn’t let him go outside because the haldi was finished.” Rote rote ekdum tabiyat karab ho gayi. Mein rakhna pada, four ghante hospitals. IV drip chadhi. ECG and doosre testing. Sab normal aaye, but stress bahut hai (He sobbed so much that his health abruptly declined).
He needed to spend four hours in the hospital. An IV drip was administered to him. Other tests, including an ECG, were performed. The stress is too much, but everything returned to normal.)
According to reports, the musician’s mental stress caused him to suffer, so doctors kept him under observation before releasing him, even though all medical tests came back normal. Palaash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana have not yet issued an official statement on the wedding’s postponement. As they work through this challenging period, the families are currently placing a high priority on healing and wellbeing.
