Paresh Rawal Defends Akshay Kumar’s Film Choices; Praises His Work Ethic

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, veteran actor Paresh Rawal defended his long-time co-star Akshay Kumar against criticism regarding his prolific film career. Akshay, known for working on multiple films in a year, has often faced scrutiny for the quantity of his roles. When asked if it affects the quality of his films, Paresh firmly supported his friend’s choice to maintain such a busy schedule.

“What is your problem if he does so many films? People go to him to make the films, right?” Paresh said. He emphasized that Akshay’s work brings employment to thousands and that, as a producer, one invests in an actor only when they believe in the returns. Paresh further dismissed criticisms by stating, “He isn’t smuggling, bootlegging, selling drugs, or gambling. He is just working as much as he possibly can.”

Paresh also spoke of his strong, inseparable bond with Akshay, describing their relationship as free of insecurity. He praised Akshay for his hardworking and honest nature, acknowledging that working with him is a rewarding experience.

Akshay Kumar, currently busy with films like Sky Force, Jolly LLB 3, Housefull 5, and Hera Pheri 3, will also star alongside Paresh in several upcoming projects, including Bhoot Bangla and Welcome to the Jungle. Paresh, who has also signed projects like Badtameez Gill and The Taj Story, continues to thrive alongside his talented co-star.
