Fans of the iconic Hera Pheri franchise finally have reason to breathe easy as Paresh Rawal has once again confirmed that Hera Pheri 3 is back on track. The film, which is set to reunite Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty, had faced uncertainty following Paresh’s sudden exit last year, triggering widespread speculation and concern among audiences.
In a recent conversation on The Comedy Factory’s YouTube channel, Paresh addressed the controversy surrounding the film and the delay in its production. Referring to reports about Akshay Kumar allegedly suing him for ₹25 crore, the veteran actor dismissed the chatter, calling it unnecessary noise and exaggeration. He explained that the issue had been blown out of proportion and was not as dramatic as it appeared.
Speaking in Gujarati, Paresh clarified that the delay stemmed from a technical matter between the producer and the actor, indirectly referring to Akshay Kumar, who also owns the franchise rights under his banner, Cape of Good Films. He stressed that the situation had nothing to do with him personally and said that once the concerned parties resolve the matter, his role is simply to complete the formalities.
Paresh Rawal had announced his exit from the project in May last year, shortly after which legal action related to the film came to light. However, he later confirmed his return, much to the relief of fans. The actor has now shared that Hera Pheri 3 is expected to go on floors in February or March, signalling that the beloved comedy franchise is finally moving ahead after months of uncertainty.
