The Saina actor, Parineeti Chopra recalls a moment while she was shooting for her upcoming film, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, when she didn’t shower for whole two days.
The scene under discussion was shot on a small hut in the mountain and feature Parineeti’s character coming to terms with her miscarriage.
In an interview, she said that she slept in filth and even when she would go home after the day schedule she wouldn’t have a bath because she wanted her character to look as natural as possible without the use of makeup. For two days, her body used to be covered in mud and hair had gotten white because of the dust, in all the filth they were shooting in.
Parineeti accepted the fact that she is no “method actor” but for once wanted to look “destroyed” and not with the help of makeup. Parineeti wanted to completely submerge herself into the role and make it as natural as possible.
At first, she was skeptical and thought that she may be overdoing it, but after seeing the preview of the film, she was relieved as it was “all worth it”
The year 2021 has been a year full of blockbusters for Parineeti, with Saina, The Girl On the Train and the upcoming, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, set to release on the OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video
