Paris authorities fined with 90,000 Euros for employing too many women

The Paris authorities have been fined with 90,000 Euros which is approximately $110,000 by the France Public Service Ministry. Reason being, employment of too many women for senior positions. Mayor Anne Hidalgo has referred to this as “absurd”.  It seems like they have broken the national laws on gender parity.  Anne’s announcement of the penalty was full of sarcasm where she mentioned how she was joyous upon hearing the same and how it was a mistake to appoint 11 women and only five men in the City Hall.
