Perry Mason Season 2 Trailer

On December 7, 2022, HBO published the first trailer for Perry Mason season 2, which you can view below.

Perry Mason Season 2 Plot

When it comes to giving away story specifics, the Perry Mason season 2 production crew is playing it safe in classic neo-noir style. But in order to provide you with some answers, we have currently uncovered as many of the secrets as we can.

By the end of the first season, Perry had established Mason & Associates alongside Della Street (Juliet Rylance) and private eye Paul Drake, found a new direction in life and transformed into a full-fledged defense lawyer (Chris Chalk). The main subject of Perry Mason season 2 will be the trio’s ongoing struggle for justice in a corrupt society.

Based on the previous season, it makes sense to presume that season 2 will follow the team’s investigation of just one major case. But it’s unclear what that case will be; there are several books that served as the show’s inspiration and may provide some hints.

Star Matthew Rhys also told Deadline back in May 2021 “You are picking up where you left off, to a degree, but you’re also beginning something completely new and different. Being the person he is, experiencing the judicial system and its obstacles, I think will be very interesting, hopefully.”

Perry Mason Season 2 cast

Start with a simple question. In season two of Perry Mason, Matthew Rhys will indeed return as the show’s leading man. I’ll bet you weren’t prepared for that one.

He will be joined by Juliet Rylance (as Della Street) and Chris Chalk (as Paul Drake), who will both be reprising their roles. Given that the two recently assisted Mason in establishing Mason and Associates as his legal business, this makes logical.

As previously announced, Shea Wigham will return for season 2, playing a character named Pete Strickland who wishes to help Perry Mason in any way he can.

Tatiana Maslany, regrettably, won’t be appearing in the upcoming season. Due to schedule issues, the actor who played Sister Alice in season 1 had to leave the show. We speculate that this may be connected to the She-Hulk MCU television series. As previously announced, Shea Wigham will return for season 2, playing a character named Pete Strickland who wishes to help Perry Mason in any way he can.

Perry Mason Season 2 Release date

The release date for Perry Mason season 2 on HBO has been set on March 6, 2023.

Matthew Rhys, who plays Perry Mason, revealed to Deadline that filming began in May 2021. “an ever-moving set of goalposts. It’s been moving steadily like an iceberg for some time. And I think we’re just basically looking at winter now.”
