Pfizer to apply for US emergency approval, says Pfizer CEO

On Tuesday, Pfizer pharmaceutical giant CEO Albert Bourla said, Pfizer is ‘very close’ to submitting for an emergency use authorisation for its Covid-19 vaccine to the US regulators after collecting the safety data. Last week it announced the preliminary results of it’s vaccine which it co-developed with Germany’s BioNTech which said it to be 90% effective after the second dose. They will be applying for the emergency use authorisation by third week of November.
