Pfizer withdraws emergency use application for its COVID-19 vaccination in India

Pfizer Inc has decided to withdraw it’s application for COVID-19 vaccination developed with BioNTech for emergency use authorization in India. Pfizer, a US based pharmaceutical company was among the first to apply for emergency use authorization but after the meeting with India’s Drug Regulatory on Wednesday, the company decided not to go ahead with the decision.

Pfizer released a statement in which it mentions that the company may resubmit the application in the future with additional information that is required by drug regulatory of India.
