Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched fresh attack on Congress during his rally at Science College ground in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The PM accused the party of having corruption as its core ideology.
Modi claimed that the grand old party cannot function without corruption, while asserting that he is committed to taking action against graft. He also criticised the scandal-driven party by saying that it has been a symbol of misrule and that the people have decided to remove it in the upcoming assembly elections.
PM also claimed that poll-bound Chhattisgarh has been acting as an ATM for the current ruling party Congress. He added that the corruption is not limited to liquor section and that the current administration has not left even a single department untouched by corruption.
Modi also took a dig at the opposition parties attempt to form a major anti-BJP alliance, by mentioning their history of mutual animosity and their current attempts to come together.
The visit by PM Modi has been the first since his party was elected for second term in the Centre. He emphasised that the upcoming 25 years are very crucial for the development of the state, however, Congress has been acting as a major obstacle. He accused Congress of snatching people’s rights, looting the state, and causing its destruction.
