PM Modi to chair all-party meeting to put forth govt’s agenda for the Parliamentary Budget Session

The traditional all-party meeting will be held today, January 29. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the meeting to put forth the government’s agenda for the Budget session of Parliament 2021.

The Budget Session started on Friday with President Ram Nath Kovind tending to the joint sitting of the two Houses of Parliament. Normally such all-party gatherings are held in front of parliamentary meetings to guarantee smooth working of both the Houses.

During the virtual meeting, opposition parties are probably going to request a debate on the farmers prortest across different borders of Delhi.

The Union Budget for 2021-22 will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1.
