Major announcements made by PM Modi on Monday

Prime Minister Modi while addressing the nation on 7 June at 5pm IST says we still are fighting with COVID-19 2nd wave. In the beginning of his speech, PM takes pride in Indian scientist as he stated that the scientist have proved that they are no less than other.

He further adds that the government have made all the efforts to get medications and oxygen from all the corners of the world. Also that the vaccination coverage has reached 90% till now with 23 crore vaccines already delivered to the country. He further adds, that a vaccine to be delivered from nasal is under development, with 3 more vaccines in the pipeline

Vaccine Development

PM Modi in his speech mentioned that currently there are 7 companies working on developing the vaccines. He has assured that the production will boost in near months. Speaking further about the vaccines, he stated that 3 more vaccines are being developed but the names of the vaccines have yet to revealed.

Vaccine screening for children

Addressing the nation that his administration has been aware of the growing caution for the children, Prime Minister stated that screening of vaccines for children will soon be inititated.

Nasal vaccine

In a surprising new approach, Modi stated that currently testing is being conducted for ‘Nasal vaccine’. It is a different yet effective approach of vaccination which doesn’t require syringes. Instead of injecting, nasal vaccine is spread into the receiver’s nasal.

Free vaccination

PM Modi in another statement during his speech stated that the vaccination for people above the age of 18 will be provided for free. Citizens will not have to spend any penny on vaccines.

PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana

Scheme launched by Modi government in 2016 which focuses on providing free ration to the needy. The scheme has been extended till Diwali, 2021, which will provide ration to the needy for free.
