Pooja Bedi stands in Juhi Chawla’s support, after Delhi HC calls her petition a ‘publicity stunt’

Pooja Bedi has come ahead to support Juhi Chawla following the Delhi High Court’s rejection of her plea against setting up 5G wireless networks in the country, calling it is a ‘publicity stunt.’

After the dismissal of Juhi Chawla’s case against setting up 5G wireless networks in the country, Pooja Bedi came in her support. The court stated that the case filed was an act of ‘publicity stunt.’

The actress took to her Twitter and initiated a poll asking people if it’s ‘just for the court to dismiss the case claiming it’s an act performed to gain publicity. She also questioned if a celebrity can really step up for a good cause in the well being of the country without being shamed for it.

Her tweet asked the audience, “Given that @iam_juhi has stood up against EMF and cellphone towers for years and years.. do u think it’s fair that the #DelhiHighCourt dismissed her case against #5ginindia on grounds of “publicity”? Can a celebrity EVER do anything without it being considered a publicity stunt?”

After 14 hours of Chawla’s tweet, many netizens have expressed their support. More than 65% of users have voted for the tweet saying it’s unfair.

Juhi Chawla has been actively been raising her voice against the setting up of towers and on Friday, the court has fined her along with the co-petitioners with a sum of Rs 20 lacs. They have marked out saying the plea is “flawed” and “misapplies the law”. The concerns raised by the actor Juhi Chawla in regards to health hazards were accused to be “unjustified” and were claimed to be “stuffed with unnecessary scandalous, frivolous and vexatious averments” and can’t be taken into consideration.
