Prasar Bharati to launch 51 DTH education TV channels

In order to launch 51 direct-to-home (DTH) education TV channels, Prasar Bharati signed an agreement with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The channels will be available as DD co-branded channels to all DD FreeDish viewers. According to India’s public broadcaster, this move would bring quality educational programmes to every household, including those living in rural as well as remote areas.
