Actress Preity Zinta shared a glimpse inside her Diwali celebrations with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. Preity posted a couple of photos on her Instagram account on Wednesday, featuring Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna. She later deleted her post.
Preity stood next to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak as he spoke in the first pic. While Twinkle listened to him, Akshay can be seen smiling. Preity wore a blue and gold velvet gown for the occasion. Twinkle wore a cream and gold traditional outfit, while Akshay wore a white kurta and pyjama.
In the other picture, PM Sunak and his spouse Akshata Murty were seen lighting a lamp. Preity also shared a picture of herself outside the Prime Minister’s house at 10 Downing Street. Posting the photos, the actress penned, “What an incredible Diwali this has been.”
She also added, “A heartfelt thank you (folded hands emoji) to Prime Minister @rishisunakmp & his gracious wife @akshatamurty_official for inviting me to be part of this year’s Diwali celebration at Downing Street. It was an honour to celebrate Diwali with him and the people from the Indian community in the UK (folded hands emoji).”
