The most sensational director of Bollywood movies Karan Johar has kept his periodic drama ‘Takht’ on rest and has starting working on his light-hearted romantic comedy movie ‘Prem Kahani’. He pitched the script to ‘Gully Boy’ duo Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh and both the actors has agreed to be a part of this film. While the makers were all set to begin the shooting from the month of May but due pandemic the plan didn’t work out as the producers wanted it to be.
The producers were on the fort for a quirky yet relatable title and that’s when they penned it on Prem Kahani. The film is basically a love story of two completely contrary characters, and the viewers will get a glance of vintage Karan Johar, who’s films were just meant to spread happiness, and take the audience in a fairy tale world, a source told to Bollywood Hungama.
The movie is currently in its pre-production stage, and Karan and its writing team have locked the script and dialogue draft. The first step to start the shooting is to get the crew vaccinated. The work in progress with set designing and other elements being looked after in isolation. The chorus settings have also begun, as being a romantic tale, there lies sufficient scope for some good music.
Further the Bollywood Hungama source added,”Though a love story, this one is in a completely different space. While ADHM (Ae Dill Hai Mushkil) was intense, this one has ample comedy and fits in the definition of rom-coms that Bollywood, especially, the ones Dharma Productions is known for.”
