Prithviraj defends Ibrahim Ali Khan; calls him a well-prepared actor despite Nadaaniyan backlash

Prithviraj Sukumaran praised Ibrahim Ali Khan’s performance in Sarzameen and called him one of the most well-prepared debutants, while also responding to the criticism the young actor faced after Nadaaniyan.

Prithviraj Sukumaran is all set to share the screen with Ibrahim Ali Khan in their upcoming film Sarzameen. In a recent interview, the Malayalam star had kind words for the young actor, calling him “one of the most well-prepared debutants” he has worked with. He also addressed the criticism Ibrahim faced after his debut film Nadaaniyan.

“He had a perfect understanding of his character from day one,” said Prithviraj, praising Ibrahim’s preparation. “He worked with director Kayoze Irani for over a year and was trained to understand the process. The boy is very good-looking and truly well-prepared.”

While Nadaaniyan marked Ibrahim’s official debut, Prithviraj clarified that Sarzameen was actually the first film Ibrahim shot for. “I told Saif sir too this film is a very interesting launchpad for Ibrahim. It’s not a typical debut, and I’m excited to see how audiences react to his performance,” he said.

Prithviraj also addressed the criticism Ibrahim faced after Nadaaniyan. He said, “See, Ibrahim will be wonderful in this film, but that’s not going to put an end to anything. Hello, if Shah Rukh Khan sir can still be criticised, why can’t Ibrahim Ali Khan be criticised? Come on. From where I come from, Mohanlal sir and Mammootty sir are still criticised. There’s nothing bigger than that for us to understand that that’s never going to end.”
