Priyanka Chopra reflects on Hollywood journey; hopes for more diverse roles ahead

Priyanka Chopra is looking back at her Hollywood journey with a mix of gratitude and ambition as she completes ten years of working in the US. Speaking from Los Angeles in a recent interview with PTI, the actor shared that while she has enjoyed major projects in the West, she still hopes to bring the same range to her English-language work that she once explored in India.

The actor, who made her Hollywood breakthrough with Quantico in 2015, followed by global projects such as Citadel and the upcoming film Heads of State, said she believes her Hindi filmography still reflects greater variety. “I’m hoping to create more diversity in my international work. I feel I’m still early in my Hollywood growth,” she said, adding that she is excited by the opportunity to collaborate with filmmakers from around the world.

Priyanka’s entertainment career began after she won Miss World 2000 at just 18, leading to a strong start in Bollywood with films like Andaz, Aitraaz, Fashion, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Through the 2010s, she became one of the industry’s most prominent female stars before transitioning to Hollywood in 2016.

Internationally, she has been part of major films such as Baywatch and The Matrix Resurrections, while also leading Quantico and Citadel. Priyanka will return to Indian cinema in 2027 with SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, her first Indian release in eight years.
