PSG ready to make fresh bid to sign Marcus Rashford this summer: Reports

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is reportedly considered Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) Kylian Mbappe replacement. After the current season, Mbappe is scheduled to become a free agent. Several French media claim that the 25-year-old striker has decided to sign with Real Madrid when his current PSG contract ends. The Spanish giants are also hopeful about singing Mbappe, who is rumoured to be willing to cut down his £62 million-a-year wages. The French league champions may have created a shortlist of potential attacking options, and Rashford could have been one of them.

Marcus Rashford has been under PSG’s radar for a while now. Although Rashford had been linked to a summer transfer to PSG, he ultimately decided to sign a new five-year contract at Old Trafford. According to many media reports, the French giants could try to sign Rashford again during the summer transfer season.

PSG came close to signing Marcus Rashford last July after both sides reportedly finalized the contract negotiations. The England international, however, changed his mind and decided to continue in the Premier League.

PSG stated at the time that Marcus Rashford and his representatives used them as leverage to negotiate a better deal with Manchester United. Regarding the failed deal, the French club reportedly asked Rashford to confirm his choice first.
