PSG’s Kylian Mbappe meets French President Emmanuel Macron amid Real Madrid rumours

PSG star player Kylian Mbappe had dinner with Qatar’s Emir and French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday night at Elysee Palace. On Tuesday, the French president invited Mbappe and PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi to a dinner he was hosting in honour of Sheikh Tamim. Macron spoke briefly with Mbappe when they met, despite the fact that the topic of the dinner was not his current drama over leaving PSG for the upcoming season.

Mbappe, who is well-known for having good relations with the French president, shook Macron’s hand after arriving at the gala dinner, where the latter expressed worry over the PSG star’s current transfer rumors.

“You are going to create more problems for us”, Macron told Mbappe.

Macron has previously intervened in club affairs, as he was one of the few who convinced Mbappe to accept his last PSG deal when he was on the verge of joining his dream club, Real Madrid.

The French star is once again heavily linked to a transfer to Santiago Bernabeu, since his contract expires at the end of the current season. He has reportedly told PSG that he plans to leave the club at the end of the season, with Real Madrid still the front-runner to sign him, according to several media reports.
