A recent update from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited has disclosed that over 13 lakh customers from Pune have pending power bills worth Rs.1800 crore. The MSEDCL officials said, the bill has not been paid for months due to the lockdown in lieu of COVID-19 and around Rs.1,148 crore worth of bills were pending before the lockdown because of which the company is facing financial crunch.
