Pubjabi actor turned activist Deep Sidhu who was accused in the Republic Day violence case was arrested by Delhi Police Special Cell on Tuesday morning. Sindhu who was an ardent campaigner for Sunny Deol in the 2019 elections was found instigating the swarm of people during the tract rally and violence at Red Fort, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav told PTI.
Police last week had announced a reward go Rs 1 Lakh to whoever provides the information about Sidhu and the other accused in the Republic Day violence case. The Delhi Police have filed 44 cases and arrested over 120 people so far.
