The action thriller starring Rashmika Mandanna and Allu Arjun is still doing quite well at the box office worldwide.

The Sukumar-directed film has now made over ₹880 crore, according to Sacnilk. Pushpa 2: The Rule has had an incredible run both domestically and internationally since its global debut on Thursday, December 5. Within five days of its release, the movie brought in ₹709.3 crore (gross) at the Indian box office and ₹171 crore abroad.

This raises the total amount to ₹880.30 crore globally. In its first (extended) weekend of release, Pushpa 2: The Rule brought in ₹829 crore at the box office, making it the “fastest Indian film” to reach the ₹800 crore mark in global box office receipts, the film’s producers announced on Monday.

On its official X page, production company Mythri Movies Makers revealed the film’s opening weekend box office receipts. On its first day, Pushpa 2 made a record-breaking ₹294 crore at the box office.

It set the record for the largest opening in Indian film history, which had previously been held by SS Rajamouli’s RRR (₹223.5 crore), followed by Kalki 2898 AD (₹175 crore), and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (₹217 crore).

The movie shattered box office records in its Hindi-dubbed version as well, earning ₹72 crore on its first day. It also surpassed the first-day earnings of Shah Rukh Khan’s 2023 hit Jawan, whose Hindi version had made about ₹65 crore on its first day.
