The film industry continues to mourn the loss of veteran actor Satish Shah, who passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 74 due to kidney-related complications. Known for his impeccable comic timing and charm, Shah’s passing left both fans and colleagues heartbroken. Among the many tributes, actor R Madhavan’s emotional note stood out for its warmth and gratitude.
Taking to Instagram, Madhavan shared a candid picture with Satish Shah and Mandira Bedi, where the trio were seen striking a playful pose. In his heartfelt caption, he wrote, “The heavens will be a merrier and a happier place now. Satish ji, we make the Gods laugh out loud as they admire their own creation. Thank you for being such a solid wind beneath my wings early on in my career… for constantly believing in me and egging me on. You will be missed so very much Satish ji. A void that can never be filled.”
According to Satish Shah’s manager, Ramesh Kadatala, the actor collapsed while having his meal and was rushed to the hospital but could not be revived.
With a career spanning over four decades, Satish Shah became one of India’s most beloved comic actors, known for his memorable roles in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Main Hoon Na, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and the cult TV show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. He was cremated in Mumbai on Sunday, leaving behind a rich legacy of laughter and kindness.
