Radhika Apte is set to embrace motherhood. The acclaimed actor revealed her pregnancy on the red carpet during the UK premiere of her film Sister Midnight at the BFI London Film Festival on October 16. Apte, wearing a chic black, off-shoulder midi dress, showcased her baby bump, much to the surprise and delight of her fans.
While Radhika shared photos from the event on her social media, she did not explicitly announce her pregnancy. She captioned her post simply, “SISTER MIDNIGHT UK Premier #lff2024.” Fans, however, quickly noticed the happy news, flooding her comments with congratulatory messages. “Congratulations on all fronts,” wrote one fan, while others echoed the sentiment with excitement for both the film and her growing family.
Radhika, married to British violinist and composer Benedict Taylor since 2012, has long kept her personal life private. The couple divides their time between London and Mumbai, maintaining a low profile despite their prominence in the entertainment industry.
On the work front, Radhika has been making waves with her projects. After a recent cameo in Merry Christmas, she is also set to star in the revenge thriller series Akka, alongside Keethy Suresh. Sister Midnight, a genre-bending comedy directed by Karan Kandhari, follows a newlywed grappling with unexpected impulses. The film premiered earlier this year at Cannes.
