Rahu Ketu box office: Pulkit Samrat–Varun Sharma comedy earns ₹25 lakh in second weekend, aims for ₹6 crore finish

Rahu Ketu, starring Fukrey’s Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma in prominent parts, added only Rs. 25 lakh to the tally, bringing the total cume to Rs. 5.75 crore net at the Indian box office. For the record, the film had a poor opening of Rs. 90 lakh and went on to gross Rs. 5.50 crore in its first week. Based on current patterns, the film is estimated to gross between Rs. 5.75-6 crore in India throughout its theatrical run.

The only redeeming grace for Rahu Ketu is that the film has outperformed its competitors, Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos and One Two Cha Cha Chaa. The Pulkit Samrat starrer, directed by Vipul Vig, received mixed reactions from the audience, and as a result, the film failed to acquire substantial traction at the box office.

If the film had premiered to rave reviews, the box office picture would have been very different. Rahu Ketu is about two amusing creatures created from writer Churu Lal’s magical notebook who embark on a journey to rescue it from the cunning Meenu Taxi. Aside from Pulkit and Varun, the film also stars Shalini Pandey, Chunky Pandey, Piyush Mishra, Manu Rishi Chadha, Amit Sial, and Sumit Gulati in key parts.
