Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi private makes emergency landing in Bhopal due to technical fault in airplane

The flight carrying Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi was forced to make an emergency landing in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, due to bad weather.

The mother-son duo was lodged in Bengaluru to attend the two-day meeting attended by other opposition political party leaders. Post that, they were on their way to Delhi when the airplane was forced to make the halt in Bhopal.

Due to the bad weather, the vessel developed technical fault and made an emergency landing at 7.40 pm.

As per the reports, the Gandhis later departed for the national capital in an IndiGo flight scheduled at around 9.30 pm.

Speaking of the Opposition meeting in Bengaluru, the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) decided to unanimously changed their name to I.N.D.I.A (Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance).

Initially, the abbreviation suggested was ‘Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance’, but later the word ‘democratic’ was changed to ‘development’ as some leaders suggested that it sounds too similar to ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
