The happy pictures of the couple Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra are always loved by their fans and followers but it is a lesser known fact that Shilpa Shetty is second wife of Raj. He got married to Kavita in 2003 but later had a divorce.
Recently, an old interview of Kavita was viral on internet in which she was accusing actress Shilpa Shetty for being the sole reason behind their divorce. While talking to Daily Mail she said, “I look at the pictures of them together and think, she’s with my husband, she’s living my life. While I was trying to put our marriage back together, he was talking constantly about Shilpa, as if it didn’t matter what happened to us because he had found someone better, cleverer and more famous than me. Now he has begun pestering me for a divorce. I asked him if he planned to marry someone else but he avoided the question.”
Raj Kundra finally broke his silence and clarified his side of the story. He said that it was his ex-wife who was having an affair with his sister’s husband. During an interview with Pinkvilla he said, “She grew very close to my ex brother in law spending more and more time with him especially when I was out on business trips. Many of my family and even my driver would say we sense something fishy between these two and I would never believe it. I gave my ex wife the benefit of doubt.”
Raj said that he remained silent as he didn’t want media to know about his ex-wife’s deeds but now due to the circumstances he had to speak out the truth. Raj also said that his ex-wife didn’t allow him to meet their daughter who was just few months old when both of them got separated.
Later, Raj Kundra and Kavita parted their ways in 2006, whereas his sister decided to give a second chance to their marriage. Raj also clarified that he and Shilpa Shetty dated after his divorce.
Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty tied knot in 2009 and have two children, Recently, they completed their 11 years of marriage.
