Following online claims of an ED raid at her residence connected to her husband Raj Kundra’s purported money laundering case including explicit content, Shilpa Shetty gained notoriety.
Her attorney maintained her innocence and denied any involvement. Raj broke his silence to say that sensationalism cannot overshadow the truth and begged the media to stop dragging the actress’ reputation.
Raj Kundra responded to the continuous media attention around his case on Instagram today. He shared his position and emphasised his complete collaboration with the four-year-long probe. He expressed confidence that justice would eventually uncover the truth and rejected the circulating accusations of affiliations, pornography, and money laundering as superfluous theatrics.
“As for the claims of associates, p*rnography, and money laundering, let’s just say that no amount of sensationalism will cloud the truth; in the end, justice will prevail!” he stated in response to the accusations made by associates, p*rnography, and money laundering.
Additionally, he criticised the media for continuously associating his wife, Shilpa Shetty, with the issue. He asked them to refrain from immersing her in irrelevant activities and stressed the value of setting and maintaining boundaries.
He stated, “A note to the media: It’s unacceptable to repeatedly drag my wife’s name into unrelated matters. Please respect the boundaries.!!! #ED.”
Earlier, Shetty’s lawyer Prashant Patil, who told PTI that Kudra was “cooperating in the investigation for the truth to come out.” At least two Mumbai police FIRs and charge sheets against Kundra and others are the basis for this May 2022 money laundering case.
