Rajasthan: Rs 25000 fine for violating rules of public gathering


The Rajasthan government has decided to increase the fine from 10,000 to 25,000 for having more than 100 guests in events such as wedding. This action has been taken to to prevent the spread of COVID-19. CM Gehlot said, “The wedding organisers should also be updated in this context that more than 100 people not permitted in the wedding function.” Rajasthan has reported single day spike of 3260 new cases. The cabinet has also decided to impose night curfew in eight district with high cases.
