Rajat Bedi, known for his impeccable comic timing and charm, is all set to return as Jaraj Saxena in season 2 of Aryan Khan’s trending web series The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The show, which marks SRK’s son Aryan’s directorial debut, has become a social media sensation, featuring Lakshya, Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, and cameo appearances by Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, SS Rajamouli, and Aamir Khan.
In an interview with News18, Rajat revealed that season 2 is already in the works and hinted that audiences will see much more of his character. “Yes, season two is happening. It’s in the works. I’m hopeful that audiences are going to see more of me in the second season,” he said.
Rajat also shared how Aryan Khan personally cast him for the role. “One day, I got a surprise call from a colleague that Aryan is looking for me. I was in Canada at the time. Aryan’s office got in touch, and he wanted to meet me. I rushed to Mumbai. I remember the date December 21-22, 2022. Aryan was very nervous about meeting me. He had been planning for days what he wanted to say,” Rajat recalled.
He added, “Aryan was very sure he wanted only me for the role. They had a casting director for other actors, but he met me directly. If I didn’t do the role, this character wouldn’t even exist. I was overwhelmed but had him at hello. Getting an opportunity with SRK’s son in his first venture is historic. Even if the role was small, I wouldn’t have cared.”
