Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ OTT Rights Sold for ₹120 Crore to This Platform?

Coolie, starring Rajinikanth, is one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year and is almost ready for release. The film was purchased by Amazon Prime Video for a record-breaking sum of Rs 120 crores, according to a report by Koimoi.

This transaction makes it one of the highest-ever for digital streaming rights, albeit an official confirmation has not yet been made. According to the same claim, Amazon Prime Video paid Rs 100 crores for Rajinikanth’s hit film Jailer. Rajinikanth plays the lead in the action entertainer Coolie, which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie is anticipated to be action-packed, with the superstar playing a character with bad aspects, even if a lot of the plot is yet unknown.

In addition to Rajinikanth, Upendra Rao and Nagarjuna Akkineni play important parts in the film. Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, and Shruti Haasan will also play important roles, and Pooja Hegde will make a special cameo in a dance piece. There were earlier rumours that the film will conflict with War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR.

The most recent rumours, however, state that Coolie will not be launched on the same day. Regarding his career, the celebrity most recently starred in TJ Gnanavel’s Vettaiyan. He played an IPS officer and an encounter case expert in the police action drama.

In addition to Coolie, Rajinikanth will feature in Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer 2. Rajinikanth will play “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian in the impending sequel, which would be a follow-up to Jailer.
