Speculation around the casting of Krrish 4 has been making the rounds for months, with reports suggesting that actor Rajat Bedi had been approached to play the antagonist in the upcoming superhero film. The rumours, which surfaced around October 2025, gained traction online despite no official word from the makers. Rakesh Roshan has now stepped in to clarify the situation.
When contacted by HTCity, the veteran filmmaker categorically denied the reports, calling them completely false. “The news of Rajat Bedi acting in Krrish 4 is all false. There is no truth to any rumours,” Rakesh Roshan stated, firmly dismissing the speculation.
Rajat Bedi, who recently returned to the screen with The Ba***ds of Bollywood (2025), is currently said to be in discussions with multiple major studios for projects slated for 2026. The actor also shares a long-standing association with the Roshan family, having played a grey character in Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), the film that laid the foundation for the Krrish franchise.
Meanwhile, Krrish 4 continues to generate buzz as it marks a major milestone for the franchise. The fourth instalment is set to see Hrithik Roshan step into the director’s chair for the first time, taking over from his father, who directed the earlier films.
Earlier this year, Rakesh Roshan shared a heartfelt note on Instagram, announcing Hrithik’s directorial debut and calling Krrish 4 their most ambitious project yet. Currently in the pre-production stage, the film is expected to go on floors in early 2026.
