Aaron Ramsey just before the half time whistle and Connor Roberts at the stoppage time striked and gave Wales a 2-0 win over Turkey in their Euro 2020 group stage match day 2 before they went home taking three points.
Serie A midfielder Aaron Ramsey upsets Turkish goalkeeper by ruining his clean sheet, he converted Gareth Bale’s inch-perfect pass brilliantly with a run deep into the net past Ugurcan Cakir and scored an early goal in favour of Wales at the 42nd minute.
The Juventus midfielder created 2 chances, won 3 fouls, 3 shots on target, 9 touches in the opp box and 11 ball recoveries in the game on Wednesday. He became the first Welsh player who scored at two consecutive Euro finals.
“I felt a little bit of relief. I had two chances to score before, but the first half was superb, we dominated actually. In the second half we showed great character. We thoroughly deserved the win,” said Wales man, Ramsey after the game.

Bale and Ramsey created a total of four chances for each other vs their opponent Turkey, which is the highest of any duo in a single game at Euro 2020 tournament. The same duo had created six chances against Russia, the most at Euro 2016.

Wales won a penalty at the 60th minute, captain Bale took it but misfired from the spot. They stayed 1-0 and no advantage was taken from the penalty.

“I am absolutely delighted with the victory. We fought well. I missed a penalty and that was disappointing but I feel I showed good character and kept going,” said Welsh captain.
End-to-end football from the first minute only, that had a lot of chances and misses from both the teams that ended up 2-0 against Turkey when Bale with another pass, but this time to Connor Roberts, who slot the ball right into the opposition net just before the game ended.
Gareth Bale was awarded with Star of the Match award for his outstanding performance throughout the game.
